Kenzie Leon Perry

Born and raised in Miami, FL, Kenzie Leon Perry is a licensed interior designer equally comfortable designing hospitality, commercial and residential spaces. Having worked as a Senior Designer for Sandals Resorts for over half of his career, he is currently the Creative Director for Ze Haus Interior Design Studio. Kenzie is also a visual artist and product designer with his own wallpaper and fabric brands.

A lover of nature, Kenzie’s “tropical art nuevo” design aesthetic is inspired by the tropics, with an emphasis on artistic elements such as hand-painted murals and custom wallpaper designs featuring an eclectic mix of bold colors, prints and patterns. His goal is to save the world from white walls and boring interiors by infusing spaces with soul, character and personality. The heart of what he creates begins and ends with concept.

Since launching his brand in 2020, Kenzie has been featured in Panaz Fabrics, Business of Home, Curated Quarters, Lonny, Spoonflower and Aphrochic magazines. He was also named “1 of 28 Black Tastemasters” by Angela Belt, and is the Southeast Grand Prize Winner of the Jaime Stern Rug Design Contest in 2021.

Kenzie’s Deco Mango wallpaper designed is inspired by nature, blending photography and graphic design into a single harmonious entity. With its suggestion of decaying nature, it depicts a decomposing mango leaf to create a sacred geometric pattern. The result resembles a vintage Art deco pattern using color tones hinting at tropical sea life.

Kenzie gives back to his community by raising money for scholarships for his alma mater, Florida International University, supporting its annual Festival of the Trees event and mentoring students. He is currently working on an art series entitled “People & Plants,” which focuses on the relationship between humans and nature.
